| -------------------------------------------------------- "He actually said that?" Faye laughed. "Yeah, I'm not joking!" Debra replied. I walked into the living room where Faye Tozer and Debra Stephenson were sitting. We were going to have a great girlie night in with a video. I hadn't seen either of them in a while because of work. Faye was a singer and dancer in London. She was in a pop group that travelled the world. She loved her job and you could tell she did when she performed. Debra Stephenson was also in the performing arts; she was an actress and was in many television series. We were all performers in some way, shape or form. I had a job as an entertainer with Haven Holidays that meant I was away from home all summer and only came home in the winter. We were all enjoying a night in that we didn't get that often. I had rented the film "Valentine" from the shop and Faye and Debra got some food and snacks. We all sat on the sofa. Faye had a bowl of popcorn on her lap and Debra and myself were sharing a king size bag of Doritos. I pressed "play" and the film started. It was one of these serial killer horror films so we turned out the light to make it even scarier. The film was about half way through when it stopped. The tape just stopped in the middle of the film. The whole television turned itself off. "What happened?" I asked. "I don't know!" Faye stood up. Faye walked towards the television and I felt the wall for the light switch. Debra walked towards Faye to help her. I eventually found the light switch and turned it on. There standing with it's back to me was a tall man dressed in a long black jacket. It revealed a sharp pointy butcher's knife and glistened in the light. "Faye, Debra" I screamed. It turned to face me with a big smile on its face before slice Debra's back. She fell to the floor with blood pouring from her back. It kicked her and Faye quickly turned. I saw the look of fright in her eyes as it went for her chest and sliced into her. She died in an instant and I saw my friend's corps lying on the floor. It turned to face me and held the knife high in the air. I screamed at the top of my voice. "Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" I screamed. "Caz, Caz!" Faye shouted while Debra was shaking me. "What, What happened?" I asked. "You must have had a nightmare," Debra laughed. "It was a dream? But it seemed so real!" I sighed with relief. "You missed the film!" Faye pointed to the television, "it's you and your horror films, they give you nightmares." "What time is it?" I wondered. "Just gone 10am!" Faye said. "Wow, I've been sleeping for ages!" I yawned as I sat up. "Yeah you have!" Debra smiled, "so where do you guys wanna go for lunch?" "We could go to the mall!" Faye suggested. "Yeah ok, is that ok Caz?" Debra asked. "Yeah that's fine." Debra drove us to the mall. A bit of lunch and shopping was the perfect way to relax after the night I had. We went to the food court and ordered our lunch. "Hey babes!" Said a voice from behind me. I turned to see a young man wearing a blue baseball cap. He thought he was on of our friends but we always gossiped about him. He was quite cute and we used to go out before he became a complete jerk. He sat down in between Faye and me. "Leave us alone Joe!" Faye pushed him."Now why should I do that to me three lovely ladies," Joe laughed. My mind was still on the dream I had, it felt so real but then I saw it. The figure from behind the food court staring at us. For a minute I thought it was my eyes playing tricks on me but the figure didn't go away. I just ignored it and carried on eating my meal. "So fancy doing something tonight?" Joe smiled. "Like what?" Debra replied. "O I dunno, maybe dinner, a movie, then some late night clubbing." "In your dreams," Debra laughed. "Anyway we're all taken!" Faye smiled. "Yeah we're are all your fellas?" Joe wondered. "None of your business," Faye giggled. "Just leave us along Joe, alright!" I snapped at Joe. "Ooooo, no need to be like that, I'm going," Joe stood up and walked away. "Caz, um, are you alright?" Debra asked. "Yeah, I'm fine, just a bit tired!" I felt a bit dizzy, it might have been the dream or the lack of sleep I had but I needed some sleep. "I'm sorry guys, I'm gonna have to go!" I stood up. "Wait, well come with you!" Faye said grabbing her coat. "No its ok, I just need some sleep, I'll see you later yeah," I walked outside and headed home. |
