born Jun 1807 Spartanburg Co. SC. eldest son of Vincent and Frances Tapp. Married Frances Rodgers in 1825. John died in Cedar Grove Texas 5 April 1875. At the time of John death descendants of James H. Tapp, his brother, were still living in Conway Co. AR. They later moved to Navarro Co. TX and Hunt Co. TX. Their descendants do meet up again in Texas. This writter has photos that probably are descendant of John.
