born about 1815 in Spartanburg Co. SC to Vincent and Frances Tapp. Moved to Franklin Co. AL where he is located with his family in the 1840 census. He is living in Tippah Co. MS in 1850. Moves to Conway Co. AR where he is located in 1860 census. He and his wife Mary pass away in 1864 ' about ten days from each other" according to another family source. The minor children are scattered into the households of the older siblings by 1870 census.
