This is a much overdue page..... I have an overwhelming number of pictures and with my space limited I can't hope to communicate all that my time with Kids Herald has ment to me.

Working with my supervisor and the director of the school, Kay, has been the best teaching time in my career. She is never without compassion and humility. She has finely tuned listening skills And the magic she brings to the school is evidenced in the children every day. I will forever remember her magic with the story of the three girls who were ostrisizing one or the other in playing favourites. Kay had the wisdom of King David when she told them of the value of three....three ropes are stronger than two.....they never fought again!

Kay is seen here doing what she does every day, supporting her teachers.  On the right, Priscilla is demonstrating how her Gingerbread Boy game is played. While they may hate me for choosing such and animated picture....I think it reveals the truth of their passion for their work. Actually, Priscilla has three jobs. She is the mother of two young children, a university student, and homemaker.....oops that makes 4 jobs....well, her youth helps. She is amazing. She puts her whole into every task and has been an inspiration and support to me. The school is so lucky to have her. She lived for a number of years in the States which accounts for her excellent English. I can't imagine a kindergarten without a bilingual teacher on staff!!

My duties at Kids Herald included morning kindergarten and afternoon elementary. Each and every student has affected me, yet I will have to admit that it has been the kindergarten children who have captured my complete attention.

The awesome charge of caregiver and teacher to 3-7 year olds will forever be a milestone in my life. Some of the children come with no, to near no, exposure to English. When they are introduced to me and they hear me speak some have begun to cry with apparent fright. To feel I am the cause of a child's tears is too painful to explain. But with the support and kindness of the staff the child and I soon become friends. They see the "old-timers" and I play and learn together and they too, soon join in on the fun.
