| The glossy black glaze on these roof tiles make a striking show in the sun. The detailing is also ceramic. The swastika at the roof point, must not be mistaken for the Nazi version. As is characteristic of symbols, the "meaning" of Korea's swatsika has layers. It is synonomous with the Buddhist temples, akin to words like; balance and harmony.... Frankly, I have not pursued further understanding.... |
