Field Guide Rubric
The Field Guide Rubric - should contain 3 assessments. I encluded - 1. Research of Information, 2. Appearance of cover, and 3. Presentation of Fieldguide.
Research of information
If the student researched 3 or more sources of information about local animals and had 5 complete records, they earned 3 points.
Use of at least 2 sources of information, and 3 to 4 complete records of local animals earned the student 2 points.
Use of one source of information; and 2 to 3 complete records of local animals earned the student 1 point.
If they only had one record (and we did that one in class) they received 0 points.
Organization of information
If the student had a neat, attractive, colorful cover and had 5 complete records a score of 3 points was given.
If the student had a neat, attractive cover and had 3-4 complete records a score of 2 was given.
If the student had a neat, attractive cover and had 2-3 complete records, a score of 1 was given.
If the student had a cover that was put together without any planning - 0 points were given.
Presentation of field guides
Planning evident; enthusiastic about guide. 3 points.
Average planning, attention given to only assigned work. 2 points.
Limited planning, attention only to assigned work. 1 point.
No presentation. 0 points.
