"Well, Gandalf is actually an elf. Not a wizard."

Yes, I've heard this. But I have to ask: Why would Tolkien
specifically use the term wizard if he wanted us to believe Gandalf was an elf? Why not call him an elf if that's what he is? Tolkien chose to use the term wizard because he wanted to portray Gandalf as a wizard. If he didn't want his readers to think of Gandalf as a wizard, I seriously doubt he would have used that term.

In writing this article, I know Im stepping on toes. I know Im offending people, and while I certainly dont desire to offend, I think it is time Christians began to speak out against these things unashamedly. We are no longer influencing the world as we used to, because we have let the world influence us. The line between good and evil must be clearly drawn in our minds. And we dont need good wizards on our side.
