Wayne was only thirty-eight years old when he left us. I guess you might say he may be better off. He was very troubled, had a very disfunctional childhood and adulthood, and was always looking for ways of escape. We don't really know what happened, but we think he got alcohol poisining. From what we were told he was found in a field behind a car wash with his shirt under his head and what appeared to be an empty bottle of booze. Every since I can remember Wayne did all he could to escape the REAL world. My mom tried to get him to move home so many times and get off the booze, but he couldn't live sober. So he chose living on the streets . I loved Wayne very much, I know he was very mixed up. Seemed like everytime I went to Houston I tried to talk to him about salvation. He wanted to change, he just didn't know how. I do believe Wayne believed, so I am believing that Wayne is with the Lord. I'm just sorry that his life was so messed up and he didn't have any freedom from the hell he lived in. I believe Wayne is free now. I love you Wayne, and May you Rest in Peace. |
