Algebra 1
Dear Students and Families,

Welcome to 10th-12th Grade Algebra 1 class!  I am looking forward to a successful school year and working together to help students succeed in Algebra 1.

The curriculum focuses on developing tools for algebra, solving equations, inequalities, and proportions, graphing and functions, linear equations, systems of equations and inequalities, exponents and exponential functions, polynomials, factoring, quadratic equations and functions, radical expressions and functions, and rational expressions and functions.

You will be receiving a missing homework assignments half-page from your student to sign.  This is so you know how your student is doing and whether your student is doing the work.  We will be having a Chapter 2 test on Thursday.  If you have any questions or concerns about your student, please let me know.  Again, welcome to Algebra 1!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Jaworski
Heinrich Weber (1842-1913) was a German mathematician who specialized in algebra.  He published several famous books about algebra.
