From the CALL
course, actually the class is very interesting but it’s rather
difficult for me to follow the course. May be it just because I
don’t have any background knowledge about internet technology etc.
That’s why I feel left behind by the others student. They can do the
task well, especially the website, while me, I don’t know how to
upload the writing to become a website, even I don’t know how to
create an interesting show using appropriate font, color, etc. This
course taught the way how to teach English using internet and
computer technology. It’s very interesting and the material also
teach us on how to make an geocities, class blog etc. The topic in
each week is interesting but so many student don’t use the time
well. I like the final project to make a website but there is no
oral instruction on how to make it. Although may be the other
student already can do it or some student can help but it’s better
if the teacher explain it step by step. Only depend on the guide
paper on how creating your web page is not really useful. I think I
need more explanation from the teacher anyway. How if in certain
week in this course we include game exercises. So the teacher decide
which websites should be open then the student have to play the
game. By this activity the student will know exactly what they have
to do to teach English using game in the internet to the students.
From the final project, we can be more knowledgeable to create a
class using this CALL approach. We have to decide the material,
level, and connect it with using technology. The final project is
challenging, especially because we have to do like micro teaching.
So by this presentation we can see whether our class will work well
or not.
