Kwa-Zulu Natal is a Province situated between the Drakensberge (Dragon Mountain) and the sea. It has a sub-tropical climate and beautiful green hills. The Zulu Nation who still inhabits most of the province was a great fighting nation. They waged wars against most of the surrounding nations. It is here where my great grandfather was killed by them at Bloukrans. As a result of the brave way he fought they ate his heart, to give them more courage.

These trees grow in the damp areas and it was thought that they were causing the fever. It was later found that the fever, Maleria, was actually caused by the mosquitoes.

The Mkuzi Game Reserve has large veriaty of birds , antelope and predators, and then a forest of huge sycamore trees
