Obituary. Blair Enterprise, 18 Sep 1947. Mrs. Albert A. JENSEN Dies of Injuries of Fall. Ruptured Spleen given as cause of sudden Death. Mrs. Albert A. JENSEN, 58, of Papillion, Nebraska succumbed on the operating table Wednesday evening at St. Josephs Hospital in Omaha. Mr. and Mrs. JENSEN had just returned Monday from a month's vacation in California where they visited their daughter, Mrs. Chas. DOTSON, and family of San Francisco and with other relatives on the west coast. While making a stop near Kingsfish, Oklahoma on Sunday evening, Mrs. JENSEN accidentally fell, but not thinking it to be serious, they drove on to Lincoln for a short visit with their son, Gerald and family. After consulting a doctor at this place, they continued on to Omaha where she entered the hospital and submitted to an operation. Mrs. JENSEN is survived by her husband and six children, (Helen) Mrs. Donald LUDWIG of Ralston, (LaVerne) Mrs. Paul HANCOCK, Leslies of Omaha, (Mariam) Mrs. Chas. DOTSON of San Francisco, Gerald of Lincoln and Bobby of Papillion. Also twelve grandchildren and two brothers, Henry VOSS of Blair and John of Millard. Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Saturday at the First Lutheran Church in Blair. A complete obituary will be given next week. (A careful search of the newspapers for the next 3 weeks did not turn up another obituary.)

Obituary. Blair Enterprise, 29 Jun 1967. Albert A. JENSEN Services Tuesday. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for Albert Alvin JENSEN, former well-known Washington County farmer who died at the Blair Hospital last Saturday, where he had been confined since April 15th. He was 80 years old. Mr. JENSEN was a member of the family of the late Soren JENSEN which for many years was active in political and community affairs. The family of 13 boys and girls all remained in the county and raised families of their own and became a dominant force in many community activities. The annual JENSEN family picnic, which was scheduled for last Sunday and cancelled because of his death on Saturday, was one of the affairs which always brought together several hundred persons - all related. He was born January 2, 1887 near Blair. On June 3, 1908, he was married to Marie VOSS and they were the parents of six children. He served on the school board of the Cuming City School for many years. Playing a cornet was one of his hobbies and he played in various band groups. For many years he operated the farm just north of Blair which is now the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon KEMPCKE. He sold the farm and moved to Millard, Nebraska in 1939. His wife, Marie, died in September, 1947. He married Mrs. Minnie LUBKER JENSEN on February 5, 1950. They moved to Millard in 1953. He is survived by three sons and three daughters and by two brothers and a sister. The sons are Leslie JENSEN, of Omaha; Gerald JENSEN, Millard; Robert JENSEN, Omaha. The daughters are: Mrs. Helen LUDWIG, Ralston; Mrs. LaVerne HANCOCK, Herman; and Mrs. Marian DOTSON, of Redwood City, Calif. His brothers, Nels JENSEN and Henry JENSEN and a sister, Mrs. Myrtle VOSS are the remaining members of the family of thirteen children. There are 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Mrs. JENSEN passed away last March. Funeral services were held at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. George PALLESEN conducting the service. Burial was made in the Blair cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary. Eight grandsons served as pallbearers.
