The Light
I was scared and lost
stumbling in the dark,
wondering when or if
I would ever find the light.
Somedays wishing it
would all just end.
That's when you came
into my life and
brought with you
the light for me to see.
There was no more need
for me to be scared,
no more reason to feel lost,
and I no longer had to stumble.
When you came to me,
it made me realize that
I had only been lonely
and in need of someone to
cherish and care for me.
