Deborah Lee B.A., B.Ed., M.Ed.

If you are reading this, you are likely my student, so I'd first like to welcome you to our class homepage. Thanks for visiting the site; I hope you will find it useful.
Here are a few things you may not know about me: I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from McMaster University in Hamilton, a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Windsor, and a Master of Education degree from Brock University. I began my ESL teaching career in 1996 when I went to South Korea. Of the six years I lived and taught in Korea, I spent four teaching at Daegu University. I enjoyed my experience in Korea so much that I returned to Canada both to complete my Master of Education degree (with a specialization in TESL) and to continue to teach English.
On a more personal note, I believe that excellent teachers and excellent students ought to be positive, committed, patient, organized, creative, and hard-working. A sense of humour is also vital, as I'm sure you would agree. I hope you will do your part to create a positive learning environment in all your classes by embracing those characteristics you believe excellent students possess. I wish you the best in your life here in Canada and in your efforts to master the English language.
