William Lynch was with Roebucks Regiment, Spartin Regiment. In July 1776 William was shot in the eye by Indians who were fighting for the British. (Somewhere I have the exact date). Wm. suffered from seizures for the rest of his life due to this wound.
Family says that William Lynch's father was killed in 1760-61 in the French & Indian War, but I don't know his name.
John Lynch b. 1749 Capt. John L. P.
Imhoff, Col. Thompson in 1775 - not sure of relationship to William.

James Lynch - served in Roebucks Regiment, but not sure of relationship to William.

George Salmon was quartermaster b. 4 Feb. 1754 Amelia Co. Va. mar. Elizabeth Young.

Joseph McJunkin - Capt., war hero, Captain over William Lynch in 1778. His dad Samuel led against the Indians in 1760 with a William Lynch in his company.(Our William would have been 11 years old at this time). In 1760 there were very few people in this backcountry area. There is a very good possibility that this William is related some how.

A John Lynch died May 1786 in Abbeville County, SC. Our William Lynch was executor of the estate.Several friends and neighbors went to the estate sale, which was 60-80 miles from where they lived in Greenville Dist. SC. Why would these people travel for two days to an estate sale? Were they related to John and William? Is this John the same John who was in Roebucks Regiment?
