Willie Martin Anglin - Veteran of WW11
Willie Martin Anglin had five children at home, ages 10 thru 1, when he was drafted in 1944 during WW11.
Willie Martin Anglin, b. June 30, 1910 Spoke Plant, Arkansas. He was inducted 1-12-1944 at Tulsa, Oklahoma as a private in the infantry. He had grey eyes, brown hair, ruddy complexion and was 6 ft. tall. His records show: Marksman M-1 June 17, 1944. on 1-17-1944 he had Immune Reaction to Smallpox Vaccine. His blood type was "B". He was Honorably Discharged Aug. 1, 1944. Character was excellent. He was entitled to travel pay, pay, and allowances.

He came down with pneumonia and was in an army hospital. He was one of the first people to be treated with the Sulfa Antibiotics. He had a reaction to the Sulfa and nearly died.
