Ben Kweller**
Ben Kweller is one cool kid. I swear he looks like he's 15, but his music is great. At times he sounds like weezer... which is good, but Ben's doing his own thing, that's for sure. His music dabbles in many styles and proves to be inventive and worth listening to. Oh he's great live too... one heck of a one man show.
Blindside***
Amazing Christian hardcore/screamo/heavy rock band from Sweden. Excellente-- seriously the best
Blink 182**
You all know blink... even if you've just listened to the songs on the radio, you've at least heard those. People say they aren't real punk and bash them for being so popular. Well I say that's retarded, punk is dead. Blink is good. They aren't great musicians- yes their music is simplistic, but it sounds good!. So get freakin over it!

This is Tom and Travis's(2 of the 3 members of blink 182) other band. Good, alot like blink... i wonder why?

Good golly, these guys are good. Their lyrics are just exploding with flavor. Once it hits your lips it's just SOOO good! Deja Entendu(their latest record) is an amazing career move for these kids. Their sound has completely changed from their first record (your favorite weapon), which was kinda like every other rock band. Now they've made a sound all their own. Definately worth checking out.
Calibretto 13
Ska/punk/irish?... but ultimately dork rock
Ok so they not irish, but part of one song sounds like an irish drinking song. Anyways this is an original sounding christian band. You probably won't hear them on the radio. The thing to know about this band is the lead singer... well to be blunt he can't sing. It's this element that makes them entertaining to listen to. There are some good messages presented in some very interesting ways in their lyrics and it's not boring. Unfortunately Callibretto 13 is a dying breed... they're on their final tour right now (ending 10.30.04). Go out in a blaze of glory C13!
Cold Play*
You've all heard of Cold Play, you know they're good. I'm not writing a review for this one. However, you should know that my roommate (Chris Martin) is the lead singer. Pretty tight huh?
Counting Crows*
Despite the upbeat and happy sound of their new CD, Hard Candy, they have some really good sad music on their other cds. Sad music is good everynow and then. For those who have never really listened to Counting Crows, i have to warn you, the lead singer's voice is whinney, but this kind of music can be good at times.
Dashboard Confessional***
This Chris Carrabba character pretty much made emo main stream in my oppinion. Great music, even his new cd which is happy is good. If you like acoustic guitar and broken hearted music check out his first couple cd's... you might even tear up a little ;( . Don't ask me how he sings so high... i have noooo clue.
