Directions: Study the following terms in preparation for a test. 1. Parallel folds--all folds run in the same direction 2. Right-angle folds--folds created by pages folded at right angles to each other 3. Panels--section is separated by folds in a brochure page layout 4. Dummy--a mockup that is positioned, folded, trimmed, and/or labeled as the actual publication 5. Newspaper columns--text flows from the bottom of one column to the top of the next column 6. Reverse text--white text set against a solid background 7. Style--a group of defined formatting instructions that can be applied at one time to a whole document or to various parts of a document 8. Normal style--a set of formatting instructions automatically applied to any text that is keyed unless other formatting instructions are specified 9. Drop cap--the first letter of the first word in a paragraph formatted in a larger font 10. Table style--styles including borders, shading, alignment, and fonts used in a table 11. Character style--a set of formatting instructions that applies to selected text only 12. Paragraph style--a set of formatting instructions that applies to an entire paragraph FACTS: 13.
