Study Guide
Directions: Study the following terms in preparation for a test. 1. Placeholder--a reserved area on a page where an object, image, or text is entered later 2. Crop--term meaning to trim horizontal and vertical edges off a picture 3. Bleed--when an element on a page prints to the edge of the page, extends beyond the trim edge, and leaves no margin. 4. Calendar--one of the most basic tools or organiztion in your everyday life 5. Calendar wizard--the feature that helps you create a document available in 3 basic styles--boxes & borders, banner, and jazzy 6. Unprintable zone--an area where text will not print 7. Nudge--way to move an object by small increments 8. Drawing canvas--feature that automatically displays when drawing a object (can be turned off) 9. Stacking--term for drawing an object on top of another 10. Grouping--term for combining objects as a single unit 11. Form--a protected document that includes fields where informaiton is entered 12. Page border--feature that can be added to any or all sides of a page to add emphasis or to decorate 13. Signature--one item that can be created with the scribble tool and saved as an AutoText and used again and again 14. Form field--locations in a document where text is entered, a check box is turned on or off, or a deop-down list is accessed 15. Certificate--document used to show recognition and promote excellence |
