| Juvenile Diabetes Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes effects so many children in this world today. Some are born with it and others like my son do not develope the condition until their teen years. Diabetes is not something that is cure able but... it can be managed with the help of doctors and the support of loved ones. My son has a hard time dealing with his diabetes... He does not want to accept the fact that he has to take insulin everyday in order to maintain a healthy life. So he has been DKA 5 times since he was diagnosed. Someday it is my hope that he will be able to accept the fact that he can live a healthy life if he just chooses to take care of himself. Here are some links that have been helpful for me....
