FUDGY BROWNIES

3/4 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup boiling water
2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1- 1/3 cup flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt

Stir cocoa and baking soda in bowl.
Blend in 1/3 cup vegetable oil. Add boiling water.
Stir till thickened. Stir in sugar, eggs,
remaining 1/3 cup oil. Add flour, vanilla and salt.
Blend well. Pour into lightly greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40
minutes. Cool and frost.

Frosting:
6 Tbsp. butter
1/2 cup cocoa
2-2/3 cup pwd. sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream the butter. Add the cocoa and pwd. sugar
alternately with the milk and vanilla. Beat to spreading consistency.
Add more milk if needed.
Makes about 2 cups of frosting.
