FILLED CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES

1-1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup water
1/3 cup oil
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

8 oz. cream cheese
1 egg
1 cup mini-chocolate chips
1/8 tsp. salt
1/3 cup sugar

Combine and set aside cream cheese, egg,
salt, sugar and chocolate chips. Combine
flour, sugar, cocoa, soda and salt.
Combine water, oil, vinegar and vanilla.
Add to dry ingredients. Mix well. Fill
muffin cups half full with batter. Top each
with a heaping teaspoon of cream cheese mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 min.
Do not be alarmed when they fall.
Makes 2 dozen.
