CHILI4> 2 lbs. ground beef or ground chuck 2 Tbsp vegetable oil 1 medium onion, finely chopped 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped (optional) 8 oz can tomato sauce 1 cup chicken broth 1 cup beef broth 2 - 15 oz. cans of dark red kidney beans 1 - 15 oz can chili hot beans 2 - 4 Tbsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. ground cumin salt and pepper to taste Brown the burger with the onion in the hot oil. If using the garlic cloves, then add this also. After the burger is browned and the onion and garlic tender, drain the grease. Add the remaining ingredients. I double the tomato sauce, chicken and beef broth for a Dutch Oven size pot of chili. Cook this til it's nice and hot - ready to serve! |
