CHOCOLATE CHERRY BARS4> 1 pkg. fudge cake mix 21-oz. can cherry pie filling 1 tsp. almond extract 2 eggs, beaten Frosting 1 cup sugar 5 Tbsp. butter or margarine 1/3 cup milk 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 cup) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan. In a large bowl mix cake mix, cherry filling, almond extract and eggs. Stir by hand till well blended. Pour into pan. Bake 25-30 minutes. While bars are cooling, prepare frosting. In small saucepan, combine sugar, butter and milk. Boil one minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stiir in chips and stir until smooth. Pour over partially cooled bars. |
