Old-Fashioned Fudge

3 cups sugar
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1 cup milk
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Mix sugar, cocoa and milk. Cook slow at
a low temperature. Don't stir while on stove.
When it reaches the soft ball stage (235 F)
set pan in cool water and add vanilla and nuts.
Do not stir them in until it starts to get thick.
Once it starts to have a thicker texture, stir
thoroughly and spread onto a buttered plate.
