William Whiting was transported to Australia for 7 years.He left England on the Alexander in May 1787. He married Mary Williams who was transported out on the Lady Penrhyn. William remarried about 5 years later to Mary Macklin Smith. William and Mary had two children - Jane 1796 and Sarah 1798 Jane Whiting married Thomas Barrett who was transported to Australia on the Hillsborough arrived on 26/7/1799. Jane and Thomas married 1.11.1811 at St Johns Parramatta. His occupation was recorded as a labourer and lived in the Illawarra district at the time of the 1828 Census. Thomas and Jane had six children - Mary Anne 1813 ,Elizabeth 1817, Nancy Anne 1819, Thomas 1824 , Elison 1827. Eliza 1828 Jane Died Abt 1833 at Figtree Illawarra. Eliza Barrett married George Sydney Winter born Abt 1814 arrived in Australia 1839 aboard the Parkfeild sentenced for 10 years in CCC 1838 George was a sheperd and labourer of Goulburn. Eliza and George had twelve Children - Elizabeth 1831, William 1845,Clara Lavinia 1848, George 1851 ,Isabella , Sara 1855, Laura 1858, Eugene1859 ,Edwin 1862, Lavinia 1864, Christina 1867 and Georgina. Clara Lavinia Winter married John Meehan Jnr born 18.8.1846 Goulburn NSW .Wool carting Contractor, farmer and pound keeper at Gunning NSW were he purchased 4 acres . John and Clara were married at St Saviours CE Goulburn on the 21.11.1867. Clara was born 28.10.1848 at Camden NSW. She died in 1981. John died on 22. 6.1928 and was buried in Gunning CE. Clara and John had 6 children -Arthur John 1868, Spencer Sydney 1873, Alice May 1874,Jessie Maude 1876, Amy Florence 1878, Ethel Clara 1881. Ethel Clara Meehan married Percy James Poidevin born 1881 on Ethal and Percy had two children -Roy Joseph 1901 ,Mona Pearl 1904. Mona Pearl Poidevin married James Baul born 1899 Mona and James had five children - Gwenneth Mary 1926, Edward John 1927 ,Jean Marie 1930 , Dorothy May 1932, Noreen Ellen 1934 , Jean Marie Baul married Frank William Mclean born 1928 0n Jean and Frank had two children - Jeannie Fay 1949 , William Arthur 1958.
