Fred Crowe, Thomas Crowe, and Wesley Crow (all first cousins to each other) noticed that Ned Crowe did not have a tombstone on his grave at Green Springs Cemetery near Guin, Alabama. Wesley went to Atlanta, Georgia and gathered Ned's Civil War records and presented them to the Veteran's Administration in Hamilton, Alabama. Martha was working for a fmily named Countnus somewhere in Arkansas. Mr Countnus flagged down a bus for Martha to ride to visit her daughter Siller (Crow) Porter. A truck was coming from the other direction and sturck Martha as she was crossing the road to board the bus. She died enroute to the hospital in Walnut Corner which was 50-60 miles away.

Notes for ABAGAIL CORBIN:

According to family history, she was part Cherokee Indian. She chewed tobacco like her husband and sewed pockets on the fronts of her dresses to carry her pocket knife and tobacco in. She loved to buck dance. She kept a quart of whiskey in her old black trunk, and when she felt bad she took her a drink for "medicinal purposes."

She loved to fish and Denver Dickinson and the other boys carried her when they lived in Wiley Branch Community on the Buttahatchee River in Marion County.

She lived with her son, Kimsey, and his wife, Viola, from Henry's death until about 1911. At the time of her death she lived with her daughter, Mandia Fowler, the wife of John Edward Fowler in the Wiley Branch Community.

This information is from Denver Dickinson, whos is the son of Louise Crow Dickinson, who was a daughter of Henry and Abagail Crow and from Sina and Carley Cooksey.
