Our Trip to the Statue of Liberty

On Thursday, August 24, we went into Manhattan to go see the Statue of Liberty. We somehow managed not to get lost (or mugged) on the subway and because it was during the week and kind of foggy, we didn't even have to wait in line for the ferry. Pascal took a picture of Manhattan from the ferry but it was rather hazy out. The only recognizable buildings in this picture are the two tall buildings towards the left, the twin towers.

Here is Miss Liberty herself... Pascal wanted to take a picture of her tush instead but I thought this one might look nicer :) He was disappointed though that he couldn't put wooden clogs on her and put tulips in her hand instead of the flame...

To see how tall the statue really is, Pascal posed in front of the base. He's 6 feet tall himself, and I'd guess that the statue is about 15 Pascal's high LMAO :)

Feeling inspired and liberated, Pascal shows off his new hat. He turned quite a few heads while wearing that crown, especially since he chose to keep wearing it even after we got off the ferry.

All over Manhattan this year is a collection of odd looking cows. These two are located in Battery Park, which is where we had to go to get the ferry.
