I was fortunate enough to have been very active in the "Vietnam Wall Experience" when it came to Knoxville in April, 1992. I was responsible for getting over 40 organizations to donate everything from donuts to porta-pottys! I have to tell you, it was the most humbling event I have ever experienced. I not only met with other Vietnam Vets, but the families of them as well. I aided people in getting their "rubbings" from the Wall, and ran back and forth everyday to get food, wreaths, sandwiches, etc.
I have never felt as proud to be a part of anything in my life. I also was honored to meet  Retired Master Seargent Roy Benavidez, the last Recipient of The Medal of Honor. We had our picture taken with him and heard him speak as well.
The whole ceremony was so moving, with the mothers, laying of the wreaths. The POW flag and the skydiver who brought it in. If you get the chance to go to Washington,D.C., please stop at the Vietnam Memorial Wall and pay your respects.
I have taken the liberty of putting some beautiful graphics on this page. To all our Vets, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you went through and are still going through today...
