I believe that all students can and will learn when provided with  a safe and positive learning environment.  My goal is to provide  all students with this type of environment.

Behavioral Requirements:
Rules
Cooperation with the following rules will ensure a harmonious     environment conducive to learning for all.

Be seated when the bell rings
Respect each other (i.e. No put-downs)
Come prepared.  (i.e. Prepare all assignments on time, bring         necessary equipment and materials to class)
Follow directions the first time they are given                               Raise hand to be recognized before speaking                                  Follow all safety rules (i.e. keep hands, feet and objects to           yourself)
  No eating, drinking, or use of personal electronic equipment        (radios, electronic games, walkmans, CD players, beepers, cell     phones, etc.) during class time unless approved by the                 instructor as part of a club or class activity
Consequences
1) Verbal warning and counseling by teacher
2) Detention
3) Parental contact/conference
4) Referral to Dean of Students
5) Suspension from class and field trips

Course Description:
Health careers is a three-year course cumulating in a one  hundred and eighty hour internship. This course provides hands on training in patient skills areas, such as vital signs, charting, first aid, and CPR. It also provides students with  knowledge in health care issues, such as ethical and legal responsibilities, environmental and safety issues, and the health care delivery system. It will also provide career  planning skills including, interest surveys, career options, and job search skills. This course will also include such topics as, medical math, medical terminology, speech and   writing skills.
