I want to make sure that my students are somewhat prepared for their futures whether it be college, career, or family. I want to make sure that they are getting instruction that can be useful to them when their independence comes. Sometimes I think that I place too much emphasis on how much I effect their lives, but I feel that if teachers as a whole looked at their teaching experience in the same way, the students will be prepared for things yet to come. In conjunction with the prescribed curriculum I would like to use technology to help the students with their learning but to also give them a better chance at succeeding in the future.
