My Interests and HobbiesMuch of my time is spent working on the computer. I enjoy building web sites, and especially working on this site. Most of my chatting these days is the one-on-one kind, using ICQ (UIN 15136280). I also like to spend time writing, especially poetry, and drawing. I read a lot, especially fantasy novels and historical fiction, and almost anything about the Arthurian era, and enjoy listening to music, especially traditional country, rock and roll from the 60's and some from the 80's, and several Christian musicians. I agree with a lot of the values I hear being expressed in the lyrics of country music, though I've been sadly disappointed by some of the most recent offerings. I love making new cyber friends, and have even had several cyber friends become real life friends. I've spent some really great times with friends who lived near me in Vermont. In August, 1997, I had the opportunity to meet several friends at the First Annual Chathouse Gathering, which was held in East Hartford, Connecticut, and have kept in close touch with several of them since then. In January, 1998, I took a road trip and met several friends from chat. I went to Virginia Beach, western Pennsylvania, and southern New York State in my travels. Also, in May, 1998, I met a chat friend who lives close by, and we went out for dinner. It was really great! I know most of the people I meet online live too far away for us to just hang out in real life, but they are still very much real friends in many cases. I'd really like to meet the people who visit my page, and hopefully become friends if we are not already.
