Here is where I will list my favorite spells for all you budding witches out there. I have made them all and shared with friends. THEY LOVED THEM!!!! Hope you will too!
Spider Cake----thanks to Lady J
1 box of Mummy Dust Bottle of blue blood 2 Newts eyes(whole, or without the iris) 1 tbsp monkey drool 1 1/3 cup stagnant water gathered at midnight-you can save the pondweed for later use Mix together eyes, drool and water. Add to the mummy powder and stir in a clockwise motion for 3 minutes. Add blood to your liking and stir counterclockwise for 1 minute. Pour into a pre-greased giant spider exoskeleton. Check it as it bakes and test when the surface of the cake, not the shell, is firm to the touch. Remove from the shell and let it cool. Fill with spider guts of the red, orange or green variety plain or mixed with whipped spleen topping. Ice with Magic Bean/Arsenic Paste with blue blood added to your liking. Garnish with 8 vulcanized rat entrails and 8 (2 large,6 small) jellies.
Ok,that sounds pretty gross, I'll admit that, but here are the ingrediants your local grocery store will sell you. If you actually do find a store that carries Newt Eyes, let me know.
1 box of chocolate cake mix Follow directions adding blue food coloring to make it black Pour 3/4 into a large greased bowl and bake. Pour the remains in a small bowl and bake. Remove from pans. Cut off the bottom of the big part and scoop out some of the cake from the middle and fill with either red, orange or green jello-plain or mixed while it's setting with cool whip, or pistachio pudding. (You can add Creepy Crawler gummi candies to the 'guts' for an extra special spider.) Put the bottom back on and arrange on a platter with the big part as the abdomen and the small part as the head. You ice it with chocolate frosting you turned black with blue dye. Put black or chocolate twizzlers under it for legs and use gumdrops for the eight eyes. When you slice it, the guts fall out!!
Morgana McCawber's Pudding Surprise --dedicated to Thlayli
1 package all-purpose spell mix 1 box dried green slime mix 2 giant newt eyes 1 1/2 cup Koo Koo fizzy water 1/4 cup monkey drool 2 dragon toes 1/2 cup chopped slug's knuckles (optional) Mix together the spell and slime mixes. In separate bowl, mix together newt eyes, monkey drool, Koo Koo water. Peel and chop dragon toes, stir in. Add slug knuckles. Mix dry and wet ingredients carefully. (Caution: May become agressive if handled too vigorously.) Pour mixtures into mold pans that have been treated with spider fat and wolfsbane flour. Bake according to spell mix directions until brown and a toothpick inserted into set mixture comes out clean. (Do not overbake as this can become explosive.) Cool slightly on wire racks then turn out. After it has cooled, ice them with Curdled Bat's Milk Spell Frosting (nice green color). Can be decorated with additional whole slug knuckles and sliced dragon toes. Enjoy with a few feathered/furried friends and a large glass of Moo Juice. Don't forget to get the calculations right or the whole thing may end up resembling a load of dingo's kidneys! Translated ingredients: 1 package generic white cake mix 1 box pistachio pudding mix 2 eggs 1 1/2 cup Ginger Ale 1/4 cup oil 2 Kiwi fruit 1/2 cup walnuts(optional) white frosting-with green food coloring
Chocolate Chip Cookies-brace yourself, no scary stuff here!
2 sticks of butter (that's 1 cup) 1 tsp vanilla 3/4 cup brown sugar 3/4 cup white sugar 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 2 eggs 3 cups flour chocolate chips-I like alot, you may not Mix together the butter, vanilla, brown sugar, and white sugar. Add eggs, baking soda, and salt. It's easier to add the chips now, then later. Finally, add the flour. The mix will get thick. I have burned out the motors of 4 mixers in my life time because of all the cookies I bake. If you double or triple this recipe-MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GOOD MIXER!. Bake at 375 for about 8 minutes, or until golden brown. ENJOY!
