Walking
I started my walking program The last week of May.  Trying to go at least 3 times a week,

I started going a short distance, around the block 20 minutes walk, brisk pace.  Then after 4days of that I increased the distance.  Then I incorporated jogging with my walking.  Boy my legs sure felt that the next day.  THAT IS GOOD!
Tae Bo -Billy Blanks
Last year I tried tae bo for the first time.  I borrowed the videos off of my sister.  I really enjoyed the intensity of the workout.  I have moved away from my sister and am looking in the stores for those exact videos again. I have found the tapes.  I am still trying to add it to my routine of twice a week.
I also incorporate ab work after I finish Tae bo.  I do 4 sets of 20.Just your basic crunches.        


Biking

I am starting to bike at least once a week-- increasing in speed and distance.
There is a great bike path near our home that runs along a canal.
I am not sure the length but I will time myself to see how I improve in speed.

Having a variety in my exercise routine is great to increase metabolism.
Weight training
I am talking about 3 pound weights here.  I am not some body builder. LOL! I don't have the money to go to a gym.  This I do at home. Lower body strengthening.  Starting with dumbell lunges, dumbbell squats, stiff-legged Deadlifts, Butt blasters.
