Entry for January 5, 2007

I guess I should tell you a little bit about myself.  I am a 44 almost 45 year old married lesbian who has 14 year old twins.  We live in the Merrimack Valley part of Massachusetts.  I married my wife in June of this year after reconnecting with her in April after a 15 year seperation.   I work in the bio-tech industry as a support staff person and I hope through this blog to at least keep you entertained.

Last night a group of us got together to knit as we do every Thursday night.  I am currently working on a scarf for the red scarf knit along.  Only problem is that my scarf is black....I know, why if it is a red scarf knit along am I doing a black one?  Well it is like this, this knit along benefits college age kids who have aged out of the foster care system.  It is a way to show them that people do still care.  So...it is for guys and gals...now I don't know that many 18, 19 year old boys but I was thinking that maybe they might like a scarf that is not red and because I wanted to deplete my stash, I chose black wool the I purchased at the JCA Reynolds sale 2 years ago.  I think that it will be just fine.  My friend Julie (who has the greatest blog) Julie's Blog, has graciously offered me the use of her older digital camera so that I can add photos to this experiment. So when I finish the red/black scarf I will post a picture of it.

Other things on the needles are my darling wife's socks from Malabrigo and my daughter's terminal sweater from Misty Baby Chunky Alpaca.
