For the Guess My Rule rules fill in a chart like the following:

Name of rule            The Rule as an equation

(See George example below)

1. Abby                                   Y= X - 2

2. Adam                                 Y= X+5

3. Alice                                   Y=4X

4. Bob                                     Y=X+26

5. David                                  Y=7x

6. Geoff                                  Y=2X

7. George                              Y = X - 17

8. Joan                                   Y=X+8

9. Matthew                             Y= 1/4X

10. Melora                              Y=X-9

11. Sarah                               Y=13X

12. Shirley                              Y=1/10X

I am not sure about making these a part of a different family.  I made the following
families red y intercept is negative,
green y intercept is positive,
black whole number for slope,
purple a fraction for slope.
Slope of 4/1 means rise over run or four blocks up
and one block over to the right if it is positive
and to the left if it is negative. SO 1/10 mean one
block up and ten blocks over.
Y= mx + b
m equals slope and B equals the y Intercept
We now need to discuss the traits of each family using
algebra terms. I thought a picture of a coordinate plane
and quadrant names would be helpful.
