After painting the foundation grey, they moved on to the next step which involved mixing this powder with glue and water to create a paste.  They then had to spread the paste on over this stencil that they stuck to the sides.  After the paste was spread, they'd peal back the stencil and it would leave them with what looked like stones.

Unfortunately in the beginning they had the paste a little too thin so some of the rocks ran together a little. They quickly learned how to remedy this though and got better with each section they did.
Next came the walls! 

Glue, glue and more glue!
And they're up!  Or so they thought...
