| debaser review |
| From Bulaka debaser are, by their own admission, a "funky electro lo-fi indie power pop rock" trio from perth, scotland. the debaser lineup consists of ross thorburn (guitar/vocals), andy macleod (bass) and jason blyth (drums). the band have already been compared to the eels, spiritualised and neil young amongst others, and are currently planning anther mini album as a follow up to the it's far too easy to get things right mini-album which has "had a couple of decent reviews and a wee bit of airplay". the debaser sound is excellent and the band have a few great tracks amongst their repertoire - love song is a nice heavy number, whilst where did all the time go is a relaxing little track in true lo-fi style. if you're looking for something a little bit different, something with a twist, check out debaser. they might not change your life, but they'll probably expand your musical taste. |
