Fearing

Lyrics by Bryan Arnold

One says, "I fear the fire at my feet"
"It comes to cleanse the world from filthy me"
I say, fire doesn't cleanse it just destroys
and without One, this world would have no joys

Now i knowthat there's notime and we are free
but tied tothe callow truthsthat seem to make time be
And i fearwhen you hearthe sound of the setting sun
So i tryto fly highfrom fate which says i'm done

And sometimes, i see my reflection in the dark
I scream a scream that i know i did not start
One says, "I only scream when you are near?
But having one gone is the only thing i fear

And i feelnothing can killthe horror that i hold
The death pangsand life's fangsjust seem to make me bold
Bloody mirrors...splotching tearsare beauteous and rare
Cold-stained knivescut short my stridesbut i will always care.
