In June 2004 I completed my final year of an Honours English degree at Huron University College . However, during my last year of studies I had the privilege of studying abroad on exchange at the University of Malta .

The exchange experience provides one of the richest types of education. Living within another culture offers an immeasurable amount of life long teachings. Malta operated as a large classroom, providing lessons and insights during all times.

The Maltese islands are a striking part of the Mediterranean located ninety-three kilometers south of Sicily. The Mediterranean Sea encases the three populated islands (Malta, Gozo and Comino) that make up this appealing country. National Geographic described the beautiful islands of Malta as Europes best-kept Secret. These tiny islands contain over 7000 years of history and a population of 380 000 people! The ancient ruins, interesting architecture, vibrant culture and exquisite dive sites are only some of the many enticing attractions that draw a plethora of tourists to Malta annually.

The University of Malta found its origin in 1592. The University offers a great range of both undergraduate and graduate courses.
