previous entry June 2007 next entry
Well this entry is a bit late (it's now the beginning of July), but better late than never, right??!  June was pretty much taken up by completing our life story package (see last month's entry for what that entailed).  We managed to get everything finished and handed in on the 19th June.  So now we just have to wait until the social worker contacts us and we can start our interviews.

The other big news is that Jerome finally finished up in his department on 29th June - yay!  He is being transferred to another department still at Goldman Sachs JBWere, which should hopefully be a lot less stressful and less hours.  Just in time, as he started his last section of his course (Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment) in mid-June, and there will be a lot of homework for this.

Oh yes, there was one other significant event for June - Jerome and I got to go out to dinner together (alone) for the first time in a long time!!  We are doing a babysitting swap with some friends of ours (Karyn & Mark), so one night a month I will look after Amber while Karyn & Mark go out for the night, and then another night Karyn will come look after Bethany while Jerome and I have a turn to get some time together.  Unfortunately Karyn was sick for our first scheduled night in June, but Jerome's mum looked after Bethany instead, and we enjoyed a great night out (very surreal feeling to be out without Bethany!).
