Bob - Automobile History
I purchased my fist car as a Junior in High School - a new 1970 Ford "Maverick" with two options - Carpet (instead of rubber mats) and Wheel Covers (instead of hub caps).

That car got me through High School, College, and into my first job at Tampa Electric.  After 7 years and 98,000 miles, I sold it for half of what I had purchased it for new.
My second car was a 1976 Datsun 280Z which I also purchased new.  That car lasted 24 YEARS and 180,000 miles.

It was "totalled" in an accident in August 2000.
My third car was a 1997 Mazda Miata, which I'm still driving.  It was purchased after coming off a 3-year lease with less than 24,000 original miles.  It is a FUN car.  Debbie and I enjoy putting the top down and driving around with an "oldies" radio station playing.
