Sally "Fay" Johnson (1906-1970) was my grandmother (married Browder Flanagan). She was the 23rd child of Thomas Pickney Johnson and the tenth child of Laura Ard, his third wife. Thomas and Laura were married 1887 in Wayne Co., KY. Thomas was born February 3, 1842 Wayne Co. and died February 18, 1916 also in Wayne Co. Thomas was the son of Peter Johnson and Emily Burton. Laura b July 1, 1868 d February 25, 1947 was the daughter of Abraham Ard and Mary Collins. Thomas is buried in the Pottershop Cemetery, Pulaski Co., KY. Laura is buried in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Farmercity, IL.

Peter, the son of James Johnson and Rebecca Farris was born December 1803 in NC or KY and died abt 1870 KY. He was married twice 1) Peggy Black, 2) Emily Burton. I descend from Emily who was the daughter of William Burton and Elizabeth Roberts.

James was born 1785 VA and died 1850 in either Wayne or Russell Co., KY. Rebecca Farris (1787-1850) was the daughter of Nathan Farris and Mary Vaughn.
