Thomas N. Tate, born Sep 19, 1837.  His 1st marriage was to Carinda LAMBERTon Mar 24, 1861. 2nd marriage was to S. Frances GARNER. Thomas was in the Civil War and a headstone is in the General Baptist General Church, Parma MO. It reads: Thos. N. Tate, Co C, 2nd MO L.A. Thomas applied for his pension at age 70 and resided in Risco, New Madrid  Co., MO. Thomas died Oct 11, 1908. Frances applied for a widow's pension in Dec. 1908.



Joseph Tate born March 17, 1864 and died Aug 20, 1939.His 1st wife was Zeini Hale, born Oct 5, 1872 and died  Mar 4, 1896 with cancer of the jaw bone. Her parents came from Ireland and settled in OK. 
Their children:
        Sarah Francis Tate, born Mar 12, 1890 in Como, New Madrid Co., MO.  Married Louie Turner Jan 10, 1911 She died July 28, 1975
       
Simon Peter Tate
        Steven Nathaniel Tate born Oct 27, 1895 and died  Nov 8, 1919 in France at the end  of  WWI by Mustard Gas.
After their mother's death Sarah at the young age of 6 or 7 took care of her father and brothers, the youngest Steven was just a baby.




Simon Peter Tate, born Sep 28, 1892.and died Feb 6 1974 and is buried in Flint, MI.  He married (1) Mary Robert
DENNINGTON, born Jan 7 1897and died Mar 28, 1973. , daughter of James Dennington  and Ellen Elizabeth Gaines a Cherokee Indian. They had 9 children. His 2nd marriage, late, in life was to Molly UNKNOWN with no children.
The parents of Mary Dennington were James R. Dennington and Ellen Elizabth Gaines she was a Cherokee Indian, from Kuttawa, Lyon Co., KY. The children of James and Ellen:
                James Abraham Dennington, broke his back building a bridge in IN Died at his farm in Seneca MO. His wife was Lillie UNKNOWN
               Mae  Dennington, married to UNKNOWN Mahan
               John Dransford Dennington, he had a wooden leg as a result of a sawmill accident at age of 17   
               Henry Clay Dennington,  killied while working on Golden Gate Bridge
              Charolette Melvina Dennington,  married Guy Humphreys
             
Mary Robert Dennington married Simon P. Tate
              Russel P. Dennington, died working on bridge in Chicago. IL
              Albert Dennington fell and died while working on bridge in Davenport, IA & Molen, IL
              Lucy Dennington, died as a child
              Jefferson Davis Dennington, died as a child
              William Dennington, died as a child
Simon and Mary's marriage ended in divorce. Simon  Tate is buried in Flint MI.

Mary Dennington Tate remarried Issac "Ike" Hill Woffard born Aug 30, 1888;died Feb 18, 1966. Ike and Mary Woffard are buried in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, MO


Flossie "Flo" E.Tate was born Aug 15, 1925. Flossie and Al Martin  had a daughter,     Gladys Ilene .  Flossie began working for the Standley Family as a housekeeper and she  married Leslie F. Standley and they had two daughters, Shirley and Karen.  This marriage ended in divorce.




Gladys Ilene Tate married (1)     Finis Alexander Williams and had one son

                                         Marriage ended in divorce
                                     (2)  Donnie Williams and had 4 children
                                           Donnie Maize, born Sep 23, 1957
                                           Twins:
                                            Mary Sue and Kathy Lou, born July 31, 1958
                                            Christie Irene, born Nov 30, 1959
                                        Marriage ended in divorce.
                                     (3) Charles Powell, no children, marriage ended in                                               divorce
