Richard Milo Standley was born June 14, 1859 in Lawrence Co., PA and died Dec 31, 1935 in Couch, MO. He married (1) Virgiline Aucidine Crowell Sep 7, 1884 in Oregon Co., MO, daughter of John Crowell and Lucy Haley. She was born Jul 18, 1860 in Flat Rock, Lewis Co., TN, and died Dec 1, 1892 in Oregon Co., MO. He married (2) Mary Caroline Ragsdill Abt 1894. She was born Jan 29, 1869 in Perry Co., TN and dies 1932 in Couch, MO. Milo was a Medothist circuit preacher.

Notes from Granddaughter, Mrs. Mabel M. Knobnak, daughter of Bertha G. Standley & Asa M. Jones: Milo's wife wasCaroline Harder, foster daughter of Judge John F. Harder of Many Springs (MO orARK?). Also that Milo was a Free Will Baptist Circuit of the Cave Springs Association. Many of Milo's children went to school and church at the old Bonds Church. They were early pioneers of this church. (Mabel Klobnak's article will be added soon and also a story by George Grooms, grandson of Milo too)

Generation 7                             Ruben A. Standley

Ruben A. C. Standley was born Jun 13, 1888 in Oregon County, MO He married Maudie B. Unknown, born Feb 23, 1891.
They had five children:
       Gilbert "Gib" born Abt 1912
       Lucille born Abt 1914
       Leslie born 1915
      Franklin "Frank" born Sep 16, 1919 and died Jan 29, 1999. He married Gracie Nov 08, 1941. Gracie was born Sept 15, 1914, They have 4 children, Bob, Eddie, Jim & Lena.
      Charles James "Bill" born July 2, 1925 and died June 9, 1984. He married Betty, born July 14, 1929; died Sept 10, 1996. They had 2 children, Jackie & Mike.
Maudie and baby died in childbirth with their sixth child, May 19, 1927.
Ruben and sons were loggers in Oregon Co., MO and moved to Malden MO to work at Stokes Cotton Gin and they started farming.
Ruben died Mar 19, 1951 and was buried along side his wife in the Shiloh Cemetery, 6 Miles west of Thayer MO on MO Hwy. W.

Generation 8                Leslie Floyd Standley/Stanley
Leslie Stanley was born Sep 28, 1915. He married Flossie E. Tate, born Aug 15, 1921 . To this marriage Flossie brought her daughter Gladys Ilene Tate, who Leslie raised as one of his own. Leslie and Flossie had two daughters, Shirley Ann and Karen Jo. Leslie and Flossie were divorced and Les was killed in an accident while working at Stokes Gin, Mar 3, 1971 and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Malden, MO.
