Mission 7

Previously:
Elijah has transformed into a supped up version of himself with the power to
control the element of fire. He engages in combat with the last remaining guards in the facility. The fight goes on with Elijah demolishing them without breaking a sweat in the intense battle. That is until Craig, the brother of the first guard to experience his new power trapped Elijah and was about to deliver the finishing blow. That is until Taj recovered and went through a transformation of his own and rescued his brother. They ran hastily out of the base to escape the missile explosion. They are later found by Hiru and Kuma who take them to their camp for recovery. And now the epic story of the colonies and futuristic beings of epic power continues.

[At the Gaiku brother's camp]

(Elijah awakens, sits up with a snap, and looks around.) Elijah: Huh? Where am I? (He looks around and sees Taj about five feet away from him. He had many bandage wraps on his body. Upon closer analysis Elijah found that he too was bandaged up. Even though he was confused, he was still happy that he and his brother made it out of there safely, but he doesn't remember what happened after he saw Taj slumped over in that hallway. The next turn of events remained blank in his mind. He finds that he can't bare the pain shooting up his side, so he lay back down.)

Elijah: I still don't know where we are, or how we got here. I still feel the coldness, so we may still be in Antarctica.

(A shadowy form appeared in the doorway of the tent Elijah and Taj were in.) Kuma: Well, I can answer your other question. Hiru and I brought you here.

(Elijah sat up again.) Elijah: Kuma, what are you trying to pull. Ahhh! (He holds his side and lies back down.)

Kuma: You fool, your not completely healed yet. Try not to move too much. I don't want ya to injury yourself more. Then I'll never get my match.

Elijah: Don't kid yourself. It may seem like I can't fight right now. But I'll still whoop your ass if I have to.

(Walks over to Elijah and holds his foot on Elijah head. Elijah tenses and waits for the end. He waits a few seconds and nothing happens.) Kuma: I could crush your head flat at any second.

Elijah: Then why don't you? You know you want to. You want to get rid of me, so the Kuro Kage will have a better chance at fighting off our resistance. Well I'm ready for death; I don't have long to live anyway.

Kuma: Huh? What do you mean by that.

Elijah: If you were to take a better examination, you would see that my Vitality Power Core is damaged. Even now I can feel its power draining. So kill me now. I'd rather die at the hands of the enemy than by my own body.

(Kuma hesitates then removes his foot from Elijah's head. He turn around toward the tents entrance and folds his arms. His wild hair whipped around rapidly by the cool breeze.) Kuma: Elijah. I am not your enemy and neither is any of the other members of Tora's group. Were merely out to battle with the best fighters. And that just happens to be you and your friends. Just a group of mechanical teenagers out to have fun, just like you.

Elijah: If your not our enemy, then why did you join the Kuro Kage?

Kuma: To tell you the truth. That was Tora's decision. He figured that we'd find some strong fighters there. But then he overheard Commander Kurt talking about you guys so he offered our assistance so that only we would have the honor of fighting you ourselves.

Elijah: Why do you follow that jackass?

Kuma: The same reason you follow Galen. Tora exhibits leadership qualities and
extraordinary fighting skills. And the best fighters always make the best leaders.

Elijah: But you feel that your better than him don't you. There's no need to deny it, I felt it in your thoughts. You want to lead your group.

Kuma: Its true, I feel as though the group would be better off under me. But Tora is my friend and I think that a change of position would cause confusion. And what of your feelings?

Elijah: What are you talking about?

Kuma: I'm talking about the way you feel about Galen leading you guys. You feel that he is power hungry and may soon be blinded by his own ego that it will affect his ability to fight and lead you guys into battle. You feel that you are a much better tactician, while Galen specializes in screwing with his opponent's minds to win, which you feel is unorthodox.

(Elijah just hangs his head in shame.) Elijah: Yea! But I don't want to feel that way. He is my friend after all. I should be happy for him. He and Jennifer may not still be together, but at least he still has her by his side. My girlfriend died in the explosion, which took her and our families lives. That was when my former self allowed himself to include his self in Professor Galen's robotics program. And he was the one that continued the program after he passed. Then he gave his brain to the Galen we know now to put into my body. Galen was sad to see Doctor Elijah go, but the sacrifice had to be made to ensure that I
could be born. So I owe my life to the war that the Kuro Kage has started. And even though your intentions may not be a threat, you're still a part of their organization. And for that I shall smite you! (He falls back to his bed unconscious.)

Kuma: Hmph. He talks himself right back to sleep. Well he needs it. We'll be having out battle tomorrow. Sleep well my twin brother, for it may be the last time you'll be able to do so. (He exits the tent)

(Elijah opens his eyes and smiles) Elijah: Well, we shall have to see about that; now won't we my twin brother. (And with that said Elijah falls asleep for real this time. It seems that tomorrow would be a busy day.)

[At Baltimore Skating Ring]

(Jennifer is dragging Galen off to a local skating ring. I mean literally dragging him.)

Jennifer: Come on Galen! This'll be fun I promise.

Galen: I don't know about this. I mean, I haven't skated in what seems like ages. And will you please let my arm go already. (Jennifer releases Galen hand and he falls down on his ass.)

Jennifer: Jerk!

Galen: That was uncalled for! I swear you can be a pain sometimes.

Jennifer: What, and you think you don't get on my nerves either. You never want to do anything with me anymore. You hate me don't you. (She turns away from him, kneels down, and buries her head into her arms.)

Galen: Hey, you got it all wrong. I don't hate you. It's just that...that...Uhh. Ok. I'll go skating with you. Please don't be sad.

Jennifer: (Gets up quickly and has the same cheery expression she had before.) All right! Lets get a move on. Don't want to stuck with the busted up skates with scuffed up wheels and bent axels. *Worked like a charm, he's too sensitive to others needs, especially when that someone is a girl. He's too easy to work with.*

Galen: *Why do I have the feeling that I've just been had.* 
(He looks at Jennifer who is still beaming with joy.) * She 
always seem to get her way with me. Oh well, if its to make 
her happy, I'll do it!*

Sakura: Aww come on Tora. It'll be fun!

Tora: Woman, you better unhand me, this is childish. Don't 
you think we should be looking for...(He spots Galen and 
Jennifer in line.) ... HIM! (He breaks free from Sakura's 
grasp and stomps off to confront Galen.)

Sakura: Oh no. Not this again. Why must he always start 
something with Galen. Oh great that Jennifer chick is with 
him. Oh how I envy her. She gets treated with respect and 
is literally waited on hand and foot by Galen. She doesn't 
know how well she has it. I wish that...oh never mind, 
that'll never happen. (She slowly follows the rampaging 
Tora.)

Tora: Galen!

Galen: I know that voice. (He turns around and grabs the 
fist that Tora threw at him.) What do you want now? That 
beating you received earlier this week not good enough for 
you.

Tora: (He breaks free of Galen's grab.) You nearly killed 
me. I would have beaten you, no thanks to her. (He points 
to Sakura who just walked up. Jennifer greeted her and 
Sakura mumbled in response.)

Galen: Why can't you just face it? You lost due to your 
lack of skill, and what are you doing here anyway.

Tora: Well Sakura thought that we needed a night out. So 
she dragged me to this ridiculous place.

Galen: Same here. Hey, you see that sign over there. 
They're having a contest for this new game they've made up. 
I challenge you, and I'll mop the floor with you.

Tora: No way, I'm way better at you in skating.

Galen: What are you talking about, we have the experience 
of the same man.

Tora: (Rubs the back of his head while smiling stupidly.) 
Oh yea. I guess your right. But still I'm physically better 
than you, you rusted mechanical pincushion.

Galen: Oh that's it.

Jennifer: Galen come on, don't worry about that guy.

Tora: Are you going to let this girl talk you out of it, or 
were you having doubts about it yourself. Your not even 
together anymore, so what kind of hold does she have on 
you. You're free to do what you want. So are you in or out.

Galen: I'm definitely in! I never back down from a 
challenge, especially not from you.

Sakura: *They aren't together! This is great news, but how 
will I make him see how much I care for him. I mean I am 
part of Tora's team and he despises Tora's existence. At 
least I now know that I have a chance.*

Jennifer: * Sakura's mood has suddenly made a huge shift. 
What's she so happy about. I don't trust her around Galen. 
She's hiding her thoughts even from me. Conniving little 
bitch.* (She flashes a fake smile at Sakura who gives one 
of her own.)

(Galen and Tora go to the young woman working the table for 
the contest. Her nametag said Nicole. She was cute and she 
was perfectly curved. Galen and Tora could nearly feel 
Jennifer and Sakura's eyes burning into the back of their 
heads.) Galen: we want to sign up for today's challenge.

Nicole: Sure thing sexy, it starts in an hour. Please wait 
while I process the information.

Tora: You hear that, she called me sexy.

Nicole: Actually I meant both of you. Are you two twins?

Galen: Yea, were something like that.

Nicole: Well anyway, the fee will be twenty dollars each, 
but since you two are so cute, I'll give you a half-off 
discount. (They paid their ten dollars each.) And here's 
your receipts. And call me as soon as you're done, I'll be 
at home.

Galen: But we don't have your number.

(Nicole stood up and turned around the sign on the table 
that said "Closed", then she started walking away, her hips 
swaying to and fro. Then she stopped before entering the 
employee's only door.) Nicole: Since when do people get 
receipts for a contest admission. (And with that said she 
entered the door.)

(Tora and I quickly examined the receipt closely. And low 
and behold there was a number on it. We checked each 
other's number to make sure it was the same one.)

Tora: Oh, what a glorious day. I get to beat the crap out 
of you and be in the company of a hot girl.

Galen: We'll just have to see about that. I'm not going to 
let you beat me and there's no way I'll let you steal that 
girl from me. Plus you have Sakura, what do you need 
another girl for.

Tora: To tell you the truth, her and I were never really 
together, she just like worships me or something. She just 
comforts me on those cold lonely nights. You know what I 
mean.

Galen: Yea I guess so. *I didn't think Sakura was like 
that. That's nothing like Jennifer. But then again, Tora is 
nearly nothing like me, guess it just goes to show that 
having the same brain doesn't mean you will act the same.* 
I'd say its about time that I show you my superb skating 
skills.

Tora: You're on! I'll skate circles around you, try to keep 
up. (They run off toward the skate pick-up counter.)

Man at Counter: Hey you two! You forgot to pay!

Jennifer: Oh boy. Excuse me sir. We'll take care of their 
fee.

Sakura: They forgot all about us didn't they?

Jennifer: Yea. They saw that little ho over there and lost 
their minds. But what do we care right. Were not going out 
with them.

Sakura: Then why are we concerned about them going out with 
that girl.

(Jennifer didn't respond for a while) Jennifer: I. I really 
don't know.

Sakura: You obviously still have feelings for him. You 
better realize that as soon as possible before someone 
snaps him up.

Jennifer: (Gets angry and grabs Sakura's collar.) Now you 
listen to me. I don't want to ever see you near him, ever. 
Or I'll personally see to it that you are destroyed.

Sakura: You can't regulate who sees him. He's fair game, 
and for you it's game over.

Jennifer: Ok, We'll see. I've warned you already. Now let's 
go have some fun shall we. This peace treaty won't last 
long as long as those two are near each other.

Sakura: Fine, whatever. I really wished I knew how to skate 
though.

Jennifer: Who mean to say that you dragged Tora here and 
you didn't know how to skate. That was completely ignorant.

Sakura: Yea I guess. *But I scanned Tora's mind and knew 
that Galen was going to be here. That's the real reason.*
