| ...About Shini-kun |
| The who now? He's our original character, Death with Pink Fuzzy Mittens, also known as Shini-kun. Portrayed as a nine year old boy, he's Death's assistant, though he's the very opposite of what a 'death' persona should be like. Shini's basically a contradiction, hence the pink fuzzy mittens he wears. He's a happy-go-lucky little kid, who does normal little kid stuff, except he does it in a black robe. Where'd he come from? Well, my friend Al was drawing a picture of Duo from Gundam Wing, dressed as the god of Death. She hadn't drawn the hands yet, so they were just circles with thumbs. I commented that he looked like he was wearing mittens, and it'd be funny if he was wearing pink fuzzy mittens. Death with Pink Fuzzy Mittens then came to be his own character somehow, and the rest is history. Appearence? ...Has changed, and probably will continue to change, but you'll notice different hair styles on the pictures page. Some of Al's pics have him with short brown hair and, uh, 'slicked-up' bangs, or whatever they're called. I usually portray him as having shaggy blonde hair with long bangs. Sometimes he's a random chibi no-face Death, but that seems to be a different person altogether. Difference between D/wpfm and Shini? There is...and isn't. There's sometimes a random chibi no-face Death running around with pink mittens, whom is only known as Death with Pink Fuzzy Mittens, while little boy Death is both D/wpfm and Shini-kun. Shini also has a story, while chibi Death's just...random. What's Shini-kun mean? Shini is Japanese for death, while '-kun' is a suffixe that's kind of like 'chan' but more for boys...or tomboys. I'll leave it at that; if you want a better definition, go study Japanese. So, you study Japanese? Actually, yes, both Al and I do; Al was actually working on the Duo pic I mentioned before in Japanese class when I made the fated comment. But, this is Shini's site, so enough about us! Other info: +Shini's process into a character is due in part by the fact that we like to draw him so much. He's been donned on various pictures, cards, arms, white and chalk-boards, random pieces of paper, homework assisignments, you name it. He's also a fun character to randomly add to stories. +On top of that, I also enjoy dressing my little brother up as Shini and making him run around for my amusement. +While Shini has a duel ownership by Al and myself, 'The Clan of Shini,' as I shall call my friends (you know who you are!), are also given rights to Death/wpfm. Not that they were waiting for permission... |
