Blood--> The world associates blood with death. Blood is the life of everything. It keeps us, it heals us. It is our life force, and we can even produce it when needed. That's why a vampire can drink and not kill someone, as long as they have the Thirst under their control. Blood is the link to another, your family is blood, it is to be prized, your blood runs through that of your families veins along with yours, so as sayings state, they are 'your own'. It is sacred because you are a part of them, and they you. A common fact is that a Vampire drinks the blood of another. Not many people stop to think why. Haemoglobin is part of a process within the body by red blood cells. A Vampire's red blood cells contain only small amounts of haemoglobin, not enough to sustain the chemical process. The Thirst results from the oldest natural reaction, the body is simply telling a vampire that it doesn't want to die. This Thirst must be kept in check by a Vampire, or become a drone to the bodies thirst, a weak willed blood drinker is unpredictable and does not bother concealing oneself. |
