Osiris
Were-leopard
AGE: 28

GENDER: Male

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: 6'3, lean and muscular build,
with broad shoulders, a lightly tanned complexion,
deep green eyes, stern and thoughtful features, and
short black hair. He wears whatever he needs to in
order to blend in with his environment at the time and
favors comfort over glamour, though he's been known to
dress up for special occasions. He speaks with a
Russian accent that can sometimes be switched to
straight American with effort. He walks with immense
grace and dignified stature, sometimes appearing to
move with the shadows as he moves stealthily through
the night.

OCCUPATION: Drifter, whatever pays the bills and gets
him something to eat

SKILLS: Hand-to-hand combat (grappling, boxing, Thai
kickboxing, aikido), thievery (pickpocketing,
lockpicking, minor larceny), dexterity (exceptionally
graceful and limber, knows how to move the right way
in any given situation), awareness (alert to
surroundings, keen vision and hearing, acute sense of
smell, highly intuitive), strength (heavy lifting up
to 200 lbs, powerful strikes), durability (in
extremely good physical condition, can withstand the
harshest possible situations, determined), streetwise
(knows how to move on the streets without attracting
attention, dealing in stolen goods), disguise (can
alter his appearance to look like anyone, imitate
voices and mannerisms), intelligence (problem-solving,
can maneuver tight spots in human interaction with
minimal difficulty), charisma (extremely charming,
winning favors and influencing others through personal
gusto, sexuality), musical ability (very good at the
piano)

ITEMS: Faded black duffle bag with a few sets of
clothing and hygienic items, stash of stolen money

WEAPONS: His body, special abilities * (see listed
below)

HOBBIES: Watching television (anything and
everything, likes "That 70s Show," "SNL," and "The
Simpsons" the most), listening to music (anything and
everything, tends to prefer hard rock and heavy
metal), making friends (any help he can get is better
than no help at all), observing the idiosyncracies of
human behavior, drinking rum mixed with coffee,
playing the piano (whenever he can find one) or
synthesizer, video games (computer, arcade), sex (very
fond of the ladies and occasionally a gentleman or
two), keeping his ass out of trouble (face it, in his
current position, he can't afford to attract too much
attention)

BACKGROUND: There's not much of his life that he
remembers prior to his seventeenth year on the streets
of St. Petersburg, Russia. He only knows that there were
hard times for himself and his brothers, and that he
was often forced to perform unsavory acts in order to
keep things at home from falling apart. These
unsavory things most often included theft and peddling
his scrumptious young wares to the highest bidder in
order to maintain. It was this lifestyle that brought
him into the attention of a small private organization
of scientists who'd set up shop nearby and were on the
lookout for suitable experimental material. Because
of his strength and determination, he fared well
enough to go quietly, being jumped by three men in the
middle of the night as he went out in search of a
meal. He awoke bound and gagged in a sterile white
laboratory.  There, for the next ten years, he was
subjected to various medical experiments designed to
turn him into the ultimate military machine. He was
given injections of some blue liquid several times a
day and was under constant supervision by the
scientists. He was forced to listen to tapes during
the night to program his mind during sleep. Though
he'd been given the gift of exceptional strength and
speed, he found there was a cost to this newfound
power. His very genetic makeup was being tampered
with during the course of his "stay" at the lab.

The experiment was simple: grant the gift of lycanthropy to a select few of the population of Russian youth and make adequate soldiers for the possible future of war with enemy nations. While others weren't as successful in accepting the changes, Osiris found that his gradual transformation into a human leopard wasn't completely terrible. He could do certain things that he couldn't do before. He was invincible and knew that one day would come when he wouldn't be in the mess he always thought he'd end up dying in. When the changes had become less painful and he was able to completely change himself into the giant cat through the use of chemically-altered genes, the scientists suspected that here stood one of their greatest achievements. The time was soon approaching when he would be taken before the council overseeing the experimentation, along with many other survivors of the treatments. However, he started to break down.
Though the transformations were more natural to him,
he was often subjected to fits of violence that forced
the researchers to subdue him. He experienced
horrific nightmares that plagued even his waking
moments and prevented him from leading the kind of
productive life the doctors had anticipated for him.
And the fact that he was easily distracted by objects
of beauty, physical or otherwise, made him more and
more troublesome to their purposes. Having crossed
his DNA with that of a leopard's, they found that
they'd essentially created the Frankensteinian
equivalent of a housecat with the strength and
determination to rip a human being to shreds. Even in
human form, at times, this feline behavior seeped
through and forced the doctors to revert to other
chemicals in order to subdue the more dominant cat
genes and keep him from turning into a monster. When
the call had finally come to terminate him for fear of
this happening, Osiris decided that it was time to
leave town. His escape from the lab was easier than
he and the scientists were expecting it to be.
Remembering his former life as a kid on the streets,
it took no time at all for him to blend into the crowd
and make his way to an area where he might be better
able to return to some semblance of a sane existence.
But, knowing that remaining in Russia wouldn't be the
best idea for him, he used his stolen funds to acquire
a false passport, altered his appearance slightly to
pass himself off as a mere traveler, and spent long
hours in the dark corner of a motel room in
preparation for his journey to the States. Once
there, he took to a life of wandering and
hitchhiking, never getting too close to any heavily
populated areas where the scientists might be looking
for him. Ending up in St. Petersburg at the end of a
long train ride, he went about establishing some
contact with the street community. Though he was
reasonably certain his life would change because of
the change of address and the future he was looking
forward to spending in the land of freedom, he was
continuously haunted by the visions of the men in
their labcoats (They're coming to take me away-ha
ha!). Even the occasional bouts of violence made his
interactions with humans unbearable at times and he
was often forced into seclusion in order to prevent
being discovered. Over the next year, he quickly took
up the English language and incorporated their customs
into his lifestyle as a means of camouflage. Through
this, he was sold on the American way of life and knew that there was nothing better for him than to get a fresh start and hope to hell he would never have to
turn into the monster the scientists had created.
However, he quickly found out that he would be living
a life of turmoil and change. It took great effort to
keep himself from doing the unthinkable to someone who might have otherwise been a friend to him.
