| The Flu... or is it? | ||||

| She handed him her keys, slipping off her shoes and walking to the car in her bare feet. The burn from earlier in the day was slowly healing. "I burned my leg today. Too close to the grill or something. I don't know." She smelled a whole lot of something that made her mouth water, but she was full. There wasn't a fast food place for miles. "I swear I get the flu at the shittiest times." "It's okay, you'll be better in no time." He opened the pasenger door for her and helped her sit down, then went around to the driver's side, getting in. Her eyes darted back and forth, looking for something. She had to know where the delicious thing was. Then she leaned over and sniffed Dave again. "Cool Water." Not to mention what I'm craving. He looked over at her. "You need some water? I can go back in and grab you some if you want. Or if you can wait, there's some bottled water in the fridge at home." "You're wearing cool water...right?" She still smelled a lot of different smells. "Oh," he chuckled. "Yea... I thought your senses got duller when you got the flu? Like your nose got clogged up and stuff." He started the car and pulled out of the parking lot. She shook her head. "Haven't been able to sleep...You remember last night when you were sleeping and I was reading the computer book all night? It's always like that. I'm gonna stay in the living room tonight. You need to rest." She was frustrated. He drove down the road. "No, you won't. If you're coming down with the flu, you don't need to be laying on that uncomfortable couch. Besides, even if you're having trouble sleeping, I know you. You'll have even more trouble sleeping by yourself." She sighed. "Dave, I'll be fine...it might be best for me to be in the living room...In case my stomach's being a dick like it was before we left the club." "No way," he said, shaking his head. They were stopped at a light. "If anything, I'll sleep on the couch and you can take the bed." "I'm not gonna argue with someone who outranks me." She sighed. She was really tired, and she wanted to just sleep. Nyquil sounded like the best thing right now. "Good." He continued driving until they got back to the apartment complex. "Well, look at the bright side, at least we didn't get attacked by any of the undead." He turned the car off, then got out and went around to open the door for Cam. She nodded, feeling a little woozy. The smells of alcohol and people were replaced by smells of the landscaping and Dave. She grabbed onto him for help getting out of the car. She felt a little weak. As she stepped out of the car, her knees gave a little, causing her to slam into the side of the car. She knew she'd have a bruise along her hip for it, but it didn't matter. He grabbed ahold of her as she slammed into the car. "Whoa, easy. You ok?" He lifted her up and let her rest her weight against him. She pushed her glasses up onto her head. She kept looking around. Her eye color went from dark brown to hazel almost instantly. "I'm fine. We should get up stairs." She was really pissed now. What the hell is happening to me? I'm sure as hell not pregnant. Pregnant people don't drink blood or fall over a lot. Their senses of smell and taste are all fucked up. I'm not gaining any weight either. "Yea, I think you're right." He headed towards the apartments, moving with her and making sure she didn't fall again. She left her shoes in the car, heading up the stairs very slowly. Her body was exhausted, but her brain was on high alert. "I'm getting into my pajamas and I'm gonna read for a bit." "Okay. You need anything? Medicine, food, drink?" He fished his keys out of his pocket and unlocked the door, opening it for her. Nyquil, a trough of it. "Just to be tucked in." She pouted. She felt terrible for ruining their night out. She loved dancing with him. If it wasn't for the damned flu, she'd be all over him on the dance floor. "I can definitely arrange that." He closed the door behindthem. "Now, you get into your PJs, and then I'll tuck you in and read you a bedtime story." He smiled at her. She nodded, her skin about two shades paler than before they left. She trudged off to the bedroom, unzipping the dress and taking it off, letting it fall to the floor. She also unhooked the bra she had been wearing and let it drop too. She went to the closet, pulling on a pair of boxers and a baseball shirt. She went into the kitchen, looking for some water. She wanted Trenton's neck again...really badly. Suspecting she'd need fluids if she was coming down with the flu, Trenton had gotten her a glass of water. Seeing her coming into the kitchen, he held it out for her. "Now, to bed. I want you get a lot of rest so you'll feel better." She nodded, reaching for the glass and downing nearly half of it. "Thanks, babe." She managed a smile. "I hope you don't catch whatever it is. After all, I kissed you tonight...a few times." He smiled in return. "I'll be fine. Don't worry about me, just worry about getting better." She nodded, grabbing the fat computer book and heading into their bedroom."I'll be fine, hon." She said softly. She could hear his pulse. It sounded so inviting. "I'll be in the bed, resting...or trying like hell." He followed after her. "Don't forget, I'm gonna tuck you in. And actually, I think I'll even join you. We might not have done much dancing, but I feel pretty tired." "I had fun until my stomach started acting funny." She laid down in bed, fluffing the pillows behind her head so she was sitting up. "We should go dancing more often." He stripped down to his boxers and muscle shirt then got into bed with Cam. "Yea, I never had so much fun dancing before." He pulled the covers up close around them and moved close to her. "So, what're you reading?" "A book about Ethical Hacking.....Basically, Good Guy stuff...like what I do." She plopped the book down on her lap and lit another smoke. "Sounds interesting. Maybe I should learn about ethical hacking. Learn more about what you do." He picked the book up and flipped through a few pages. "I could teach you a lot...prolly anything you ever wanted to know." She downed the rest of the water and set the glass down. "You'd be cute behind a computer." He laughed. "Maybe. You, on the other hand, are cute no matter where you are." He handed the book back to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. She looked up at him, wanting to kiss him again. She didn't give a shit. Whatever she had was too wierd to be flu. It couldn't have been flu. She leaned over and kissed his lips gently, moving down to his neck again. He kissed her back, then felt her move down to his neck. He thought about stopping her, but didn't. There was no reason to think she'd go biting at him again. And even if she did, it still felt really good. Just push all those weird feelings away. It's probably some weird affect from the flu that's making her want to do that. |
